The Black Forest is simply the best spot for authentic German food in Austin, Texas. We are located in front of the Live Oak Brewing Company which means you can pair our food with their amazing German beers!

This is a true labor of love by our family.  Having lived in Germany as an Army brat when I was a kid, I could never shake the craving for a great pretzel, crispy schnitzel or a delicious bratwurst.  Austin has so many awesome restaurants but none that could fill those childhood cravings, so we decided to do it ourselves!
